Ko jo osvetliš znoztraj, zažari v vsej svoji lepoti in dobi pravi pomen.

WHEN GRANNY'S CHEST BECOMES TOO SMALL

When granny's chest becomes too small, all the memories step out ...

When I was about four years old me and my granny were sitting on the couch in her living room. She was crocheting a beautiful cloth. I said, "Granny, I would like to try crochet too." And of course she allowed me to.

That was the first time I held a chochet hook in my hands and even though the result wasn't too great, a few knots she could hardly unknot, a new love for needlework was born.

Today I use my knowledge mostly for exploring old techniques of knitting and crocheting and their use in new products.

A new collection of unique lamps was formed. They were made with the use of different crocheting patterns and also with combining knitting and crocheting. The patterns are reformed so they fit round and oval shapes.

The lamps can be completely transparent, made from a subtle lace of different patterns. Tis is how the diffuse light, coming through the net structure, creates unusual lightning effects in the room.

Crocheted lace can turn into semy-dense knitting which partly shades the inner part of the lamp and thus limits the light... but where the surface resambles lace, the light spreads in the room.

The lamp collection resulted especially from the desire to express feelings and emotions, which like a projection from dreams come to live in memory of granmother...in memory of the hours spent together and the child talk oh her couch, crocheting and knitting wonderful products, made by her hands.

And so are memories cought in dreams like twisted lace, lace that breathes, lace that lives. When you illuminate it from the inside it glows up in all its beauty and becomes meaningful.
